Serving our world

Outreach is at the heart of the Christian life. Followers of Jesus do not spend all of their time in church! God calls us to go out into the world to serve God by loving others: by ensuring that every person has enough to eat, a place to sleep, clean water to drink.

Below you'll find more information on the initiatives and partnerships that North Decatur supports year after year.

You can find more information about any current events and activities here. Join us in serving our world!

Decatur and Atlanta ministries

NDUMC Food Pantry – The church gives snack bags of non-perishable food items to anyone who needs help. You can bring donations of bottled water, crackers, cereal bars, pop-top canned meat, or raisins to the church office at any time.

Decatur Cooperative Ministry – NDUMC  has a special partnership with DCM's Project Take Charge whose offices are located here on our campus. Also, twice a year the Church serves dinner each night for a week with women and children who are living at DCM’s Hagar’s House shelter, and we support DCM through school supply drives, monthly food pantry collections, and other volunteer work. decaturcooperativeministry.org

D.E.A.M. (Decatur Emergency Assistance Ministries) – Through food donations and in our church budget, NDUMC provides food and financial assistance to our Decatur-area neighbors in need through DEAM. deamdecatur.org

Trinity House – Three times a year members of the Church prepare dinner and share it with between fifteen to forty men that are turning their lives around at Trinity House. tcmatlanta.org

L'Arche Atlanta L’Arche Atlanta is a non-profit, house-based community that celebrates the gifts of people with and without intellectual disabilities. They have two homes in the area, and one of our members resides at a L'Arche house. larcheatlanta.org
