Holy Week is right around the corner! For millennia, Christians across the globe have celebrated this week, remembering the last days of Jesus' life before his Death and Resurrection. Check out everything we have going on at NDUMC below!

MAUNDY thursday

Thursday, March 28th at 7:00pm

Maundy Thursday remembers the night of the Last Supper - where Jesus washed the feet of his disciples, shared a meal which inspired our ceremony of Holy Communion, and where Jesus was betrayed and was arrested. Join us for a service of (hand) washing and Holy Communion as we remember Christ's last night before his death.

good friday

Friday, March 29th at 7:00pm

Good Friday remembers the day of Jesus' crucifixion - his death on the cross. We call this dark day "good" because as Christians, we believe that Christ died for us, to save us from Sin and Death. For thousands of years, Christians have remembered the day of Christ's death through "Tenebrae" services. Tenebrae means "darkness" in latin, and during this service the story of Christ's death is read, and all light is extinguished - symbolizing Christ's light leaving the world for those three days. Join us Friday at 7pm for our Tenebrae service at NDUMC

easter sunrise service

Sunday, March 31st at 7:30am

The gospel writers tell us that Mary Magdalene and some of Jesus' other disciples went to his tomb early in the morning on the Sunday after he was crucified. On this early spring morning, these women would be the first to discover that Jesus had been resurrected. Coming to worship on Easter Sunday at an hour and place different than we normally do, offers a sense that something unexpected has happened. Where there appeared to be no hope, there is now hope. Where there was death, there is now resurrection! Join us at 7am on Easter Sunday to celebrate new hope we find in the Resurrection!

easter sunday worship

Sunday, March 31st at 10:00am

Easter Sunday (or Resurrection Sunday) is probably the most joyful and most holy day of the Christian year. On Easter Sunday, we celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ and the new life we find in that Resurrection. Where Christ died to save us from Sin and Death, Christ rose from the dead to bring us into new life! Join us at 10am for our classic Easter Sunday worship service!
