Music and arts

North Decatur UMC’s Worship and Arts Ministry creates worship, fellowship, encouragement, and outreach through an inclusive program of music and other worship arts. Worship at NDUMC includes expressions ancient and modern, challenging and simple, old and new. Our goal is to prepare music for worship that exalts Christ and transforms ourselves.

Our Sunday worship services include The Table at 9:00 am and Traditions at 11:00 am. If you sing or play an instrument, we would love to have you join us. Please contact Sandra Kirton, our Director of Worship and Arts, for information on ways to participate.

The Chancel Choir

Open to adult volunteers of various skill levels and musical backgrounds, this choir sings for most 11:00 AM Sunday morning services, and is present in the Lessons and Carols service during Advent. The choir rehearses on Wednesdays at 7:30 PM and warms up on Sunday mornings at 10:30 AM before worship.

Children's Choir

This choir’s goal is to help children learn how to serve God with our gifts through worship and to build basic musical skills and good vocal technique. The choir is currently open to children ages 6-12. Rehearsals are held on announced Saturdays from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon.
