Children AND FAMILIES

Children and teens have a special place in God's Kingdom, and at NDUMC! Children at North Decatur are actively involved in worship, enjoy their own small group on Sunday mornings, and engage in fun events and activities through the year.

At NDUMC, we meet each child or teenager at their level of development, and help them grow on their own spiritual walk. We teach them the love of Christ, the joy of his forgiveness, the salvation and the truth of his word. And we encourage their growth in the body of believers. They are an important part of our community!

We allow our children to develop a relationship with God at their own pace. Nothing is more exciting than seeing young people flourish in their faith!

UPCOMING CHILDREN'S EVENTS

Check out the upcoming events here for Children and Family Ministries!

VBS: OPERATION RESTORATION

Mark your calendars, because VBS is coming soon! Each night from 5:30 to 6:30, we will share meal together, and all volunteers, parents and children are welcome. Then from 6:30 to 8:30, we will learn how God partners with us to restore a broken world through music, puppets, crafts, and storytelling.

Please fill out this form to register, so we know you are coming! See you there!

ONGOING ACTIVITIES

Here, you'll find ongoing opportunities for spiritual formation with Children and Family Ministries!

Sundays With Kids at north decatur

We hope you will make it a priority to bring your children to church, as the relationships your children form and the things they learn will be invaluable to them as they “try on” faith for themselves.

Children are welcome to attend worship with their families. We also provide a children's worship experience - meet in the Welcome Center before worship!

SPECIAL NEEDS FAMILIES ARE WELCOME HERE!

If you are a special needs parent and you have questions about how our worship and programs can accommodate your child, contact us!

Baptism

At North Decatur UMC, we take seriously the responsibility to baptize infants and children into the faith, as we experience the grace that comes from God and find ourselves welcomed into the family of God. If you have children who have not been baptized (or if you have not been baptized yourself!), reach out to Senior Pastor, Rev. Patrick Faulhaber.
