Peace Project SAND Preschool is working on a collaborative project centering on peace using the Japanese Tale of the 1,000 Paper Cranes as a framework. Our NDUMC family is invited to join our effort which will culminate in a campus-wide display on May 19: Create 25 cranes as an individual, family, or group. We are looking for 40 people or groups to make 25 cranes each (40x25=1000). Origami is great, but the cranes do not need to be origami, they can be in any form that represents a crane. Share ways to express peace with the children at SAND. Are you an artist or creator? We are looking for ways to make an abstract concept - peace - have real representation in their lives. From exploring what peace sounds like and feels like, to understanding cranes and and their environments, we are diving deep into peace.
